Since 2003, Bar-le-Duc has joined the national network of the Villes et Pays d'Art et d'Histoire (namely “Cities and Regions of Art and History”).
The ministry of Culture and communications and the French organisation devoted to the preservation of architecture and heritage award the local communities that increase the value of their heritage and give life to it the label “Villes et Pays d’Art et d’Histoire”. That label guarantees the competence of the guides and organisers and the quality of their work. | |
